A 36V 4500W Industrial Programmable Power Supply:
This 36V 4500W Industrial Programmable Power Supply is rated for an output current of 125A with typical efficiency of 93%. This new generation of digitally designed programmable power supplies provide ultra-high programming accuracy. Both the output voltage and current are programmable between 0% – 107.5% to an accuracy of 0.1%. The output can be configured with either constand voltage or constant current characteristics. Output ripple and noise is typically 150mV P-P (20MHz bandwidth) at full load. In addition to the main output a selectable auxiliary output of either 5V 2A or 12V 0.83A is available.
A number of protection and alarm systems are included within this power supply for enhanced operation. They include I/P OVP, I/P UVP, AC fail alarm, O/P OVP, over temp alarm, OTP, OCP and short circuit protection.
These power supplies feature a universal AC mains input of 90 – 264VAC, 47 – 63Hz with a power factor of > 0.98 at full load. These units may also be powered from a DC source in the range of 127 – 370V.
Programming is carried out through either digital or analogue techniques. Digitally these units can use I2C, RS485 or CAN systems which allow for both setting and readback. For analogue programming a voltage of 0 – 5VDC or variable resistance between 0 – 5Kohms is used.
These power supplies are further enhanced by their ability to be connected in either parallel or series systems. In parallel systems up to 16 units can be connected using a single wire current balance connection. The unit features built in OR-ing FET’s preventing the need for external diodes.
The product weighs 3KG with dimensions of 170 x 63.5 x 280mm. The operating temperature range is -25 to +70°C and cooling is by internal fans.
They meet safety standard to EN/IEC62368-1 and IEC60601-1 and EMC to EN55032. These power supplies are suitable for a wide range of applications and are particularly suited to lasers, medical instrumentation, industrial control & monitoring, manufacturing systems, research and development and battery systems.
