1500W Industrial Programmable Power Supplies:

This series of 1500W Industrial Programmable Power Supplies feature the latest technology resulting in excellent accuracy and efficicency.

These products feature a Universal AC Input of 90 – 264VAC, 47 – 63Hz with a power factor of 0.98 (230VAC, full load). These units will also accept a DC input 127 – 370V. The input is provided via a 3 way terminal block with a plastic cover (Class I).

Overview

This range of seven power supplies provide single outputs in the range 12 – 60V with a programmable range of 0% – 107.5%. They feature high efficiency from 90% to 94% depending on the model. Outputs provide excllent regulation with line regulation of ±0.2% and load regulation of ±0.2%. Remote sense is provided for the main output with the ability to adjust for 2.5% of the rated output voltage. The power supply may be configured to operate in both constant voltage and constant current mode  Additional to the main output these power supplies are also provided with a selectable auxiliary output of either 5V/2A or 12V/0.83A.

Protection and Alarm Functions

An extensive range of protection and alarm functions are provided as standard. On the primary side there is protection for input over-voltage, input under-voltage and an AC fail alarm. On the secondary side  protections include output over-voltage, over temperature, over current and short circuit protection. Additionally there is an over temperature alarm on the secondary side.

The key feature of this power supply series is the programming capability with a number of different methods available.

Programming

Digitally these power supplies provide programming and feedback through I2C, RS485 and CAN systems. Voltage programming accuracy is 0.3% of Vset +0.2% of rated output voltage. Current programming accuracy is 0.3% of Vset +0.2% of rated output current.

Analog programming and monitoring is achieved using either 0 – 5V or 0 -5KΩ methods. Output voltage programming can be achieved from 0 – 107.5% of rated output with accuracy and linearity of ±0.5% of rated output voltage.Output current programming can be achieved from 0 – 107.5% of rated output with accuracy and linearity of ±1% of rated output current.

Functions

These power supplies are further enhanced with a range of standard functions including local remote control, DC-OK signal, high speed I/O port, low speed I/O port and the auxiliary power supply.

For flexibility in use these power supplies may be combined in either parallel or series configurations.

These power supplies are enclosed in a compact metal case with dimensions of 314.6 x 127 x 63.5mm. Cooling is provided by two internal fans with intelligent fan control. The operating temperature range for these power supplies is -25 to +70°C with de-rating from 50 to +70°C. the weight of these power supplies is 2.1Kg.

These power supplies meet safety requirements to IEC/EN62368-1 and medical requirements to EN60601-1.

This range has extensive application uses due to the progamming and configuration capabilities. They are best suited to industrial, scientific, research and medical requirements.
